Hmm. Week ago I would say "Gate of Madness", but 3 days ago I made through it at Masters in 45 minutes on my elementalist, in 3rd attempt. Now I say - Gyala Hatchery. I tried it on all my characters - Necro year ago, Ranger half a year ago, Ritualist month ago and Warrior, this month. Never completed it. I tried both ways - Normal and ,,backdoor'', but during the backdoor I didn't know that a huge spawn of Kurzicks spawns when you get to turtles after 45 minutes of run/fight/pull/tank. I gave up and went to The Eternal Grove - Master in 40 minutes, kthxbai. Same, Master, at Unwaking Waters, then Expert in Raisu (1st attempt with a really stupid players), and Hero/Hench'd Shiro in 5:33. Now my Ritualist is Hero of Cantha ;d

Yeah, Gate of Madness is probably easier to get masters with heroes/hench than people. Every human group has had someone screw up the lich pull, attack Shiro while taking tthe shrines oor generally not move to the back of the shrine when taking them.

Arborstone.
It's dark, boring and I hate the falling rocks.

But then again - I am not really big on any mission (well except Vizunah). I prefer to explore stuff so quests are more my thing then missions.
And I rarely care about the story.

Gates of Madness is really not that hard if you bring the right bars and take it cautiously. It requires some thought and care to complete instead of being able to bully ahead like a brainless mob. In terms of diffuculty the game needs more missions like that at normal level.

Worst mission is arborstone pre bug fix ages ago. Its annoying to get through as it is with all the falling rocks. But in the past you would kill eveything and sit there while RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing Danika would fail to cast her spell to open the door and end the mission. She would get stuck or something. I remember a group I was in resorting to taking off our armor and running around to take damage to get her to move and wake up...it actually worked after a long long time.

God I remember that! My guild group had to restart the entire mission!
But other then that, Arborstone IMO is a cakewalk.

Worst mission by far in my opinion is The Wilds. I can never figure out where I'm going in that damn place.

I have to say, any missions in the Wilds make me fall asleep.

Arborstone - Those falling rocks are annoying

and

Abaddons Gate - Word of Madness pisses me off so much.

Edit: Oh yeah The Wilds and Bloodstone Fen are incredibly tedious too...

I hate all Realm of Torment missions, especially Gate of Madness. Jennur's Horde sucks too. Oh, and Raisu Palace...I hate it really bad. Ring of Fire and Hell's Precipice suck too. hehe

Ruins of Surmia, omfg that is the worst mission ever.

My favorite mission though is Gate of Madness, followed closely by the 3 fire island missions, just because how fun all 4 of those missions are to hench (no heroes even).

umm, gate of madness was tedious, had to go through it 3x while rushing through the campaign with hero/hench

don't play with chat window open and had no idea what the empty plain was all about, suddenly monsters & rift everywhere!
wouldn't have been so bad if my monks didn't run and aggro that titan

second time, didn't know i was facing shiro/lich, couldn't do enough damage to take them down

maassive waste of time and alot of rage, filled my pve fix for a few months

Missions? Maybe Gyala hatchery. GoM is easy, its just killing. Keeping 5 baby turtles alive? Most hated thing ever.

But hardest? Maybe Song and Stone (what? Two stone singers die about 30 secs in? You can't even make it there with a running build?) or troubled keeper (hordes of margos and torments AND you got to protect a lame NPC? And its so bloody long. And all for like 400g? Lame).

Meh, just any mission with a timer. I love a challenge, throw as many enemies at me as you can, I'll enjoy it. I just don't like being forced to rush. I'm just the kind of player that likes to review the situation, plan, and take things in steps.

As for Gates of Madness, I'll agree. Literally I tried that 20 times, or more, before I got it. (I refused to wiki it. Again, I like to figure things out for myself). I figured out the small trick that's described on the wiki once you've taken out lich and capped the shrines (assuming you're going for bonus).

This scenario assumes you're hero/henching it. Head up to one of the shrine rooms and flag your entire party into one of the back corners of the shrine room. I mean as deep into the corner as you can get them. Shiro will never stay in that corner. Even if he teleports into it to take out a monk, he'll immediately run away to begin heading back to the center of the Chamber. Have whatever your tank player is, assuming it's you, stand next too the shrine itself, or just before the front of it. You'll still be in range of healing and Shiro will come back for you. Just hit him with Wild blow as much as you can (if possible and you have Koss, or Goren, have him flagged beside you, disable his skills except WB and keep it priority.). It ended up working very well for me. IO did less damage with the stance removed from the WB spam and he finally fell for me.

Probably a toss-up between Gate of Madness and Vizunah Square. Leaning slightly towards Vizunah Square though, mainly because I have a character there now.
